Are you a self confessed infocollectamaniac or bright shiny object fanatic?
Have you ever watched a training webinar and find you are writing down notes as fast as you can but then you can't capture some of the relevant content that is on the video?
Or the video doesn't allow you to stop to catch up and then you are missing out on the next bit of content?
Or you write your notes on a piece of paper or in a notepad and then either lose it or have to go through pages or to be able to find it at a later date or run out of pages?
Are you sick of wasting time looking for something either from your notebooks or in your many files and folders that you have stored on your computer?
Do you want quick reference at your fingertips to audios, videos, resources, files and folders and links to websites?
MS Office One Note is like an electronic filing cabinet or instead of a five subject notebook a virtual notebook that goes on forever, never running out of pages and has powerful search capabilities.
Currently I am following (amongst others) Alex Mandossian's 21 day challenge
http://www.marketingonline.com (not an affiliate link yet). Alex is a marketing productivity specialist with fantastic rich content. The first part of his course is split into 21 small chunks - quickstart, five minute videos, audios and notes which makes it really to break things down and get out of overwhelm.
I want to make sure that I can go back to this information at any stage. As I can create many separate sections and section groups I have a separate Section Group called Marketing with all my information in regards to this topic. I have created a separate tab for each thought leader or website that I am gaining information from. Each section can contain many pages or sub pages so for each topic of this 21 day challenge I have put it on a separate page or sub page (right hand side of notebook). These pages can go on forever also. I can include the weblinks, my login and password (currently hidden), screen clips of videos or presentations, pdf resources, audios, references, hyperlinks and even insert the pdf resource as a printout, tag it as important, link to outlook as a reminder
